Gold International Award Print E-mail

Twelve Year 13 students have taken part in their Gold International Award training expedition around the Kathmandu Valley rim. Their route took them from Nagarkot and Jhule towards Chisapani and then down to Sunderijal. They were fully self sufficient carrying all their own food, clothes and camping gear.

The students enjoyed getting to grips with pitching tents, cooking on gas stoves and the looks of the locals, not used to seeing trekkers carrying their own kit. Although the weather was mixed, with some heavy rain, the students coped well with the expedition and have all now a much better idea of what is required for the Assessed Expedition which comes up in next term.

Well done to all the students and here’s looking forward to The British Schools first Gold Expedition Assessment.
