Miss Buckland and Miss Maharjan would like to say

a big WELCOME BACK

to everyone in Year 5, and a big WELCOME to

those recently joining us!

Our topic for this term is Myths and Legends, and we will be looking at a whole range of stories from across the world as part of this. We have already invented mythical beasts of our own [feel free to come in and look at our fact file - just in case you might meet one!] and in the coming weeks will be writing myths and legends of our very own. We're also looking forward to including drama into our week, as we interview heros for the newspaper and act out dramatic scenes.

In sciece we will be thinking about what the heros and heroines of our tales need to do in order to be healthy as part of our topic on the Human Body.
