Well done to all of you Technophobes that have managed to navigate a path all the way to the Year 6 Class page. What a wonderful website it is.

For those of you that are visiting for the first time, what you can expect to see here is an overview of what will be happening each term and eventually, a link to photo galleries of all the special events so far this year.

So, half way through Term 3, what can you expect? Well, we have one major event heading our way. In Week 11, the Production of Hoodwinked will be performed by KS2. Clearly, the children will be expected to perfect their lines, moves and songs for homework – especially as Year 6 need to set the standard for the rest of the Key Stage. I hope you are as excited as me about the performance? I know the children will are starting to get a few pre-production nerves!

We have some exciting topics still to cover this term, for example we are studying the ethical merits of graffiti at the moment. I have been sharing some of the finer points of persuasvie rhetoric, so be prepared for some interesting debates from now on! One of the topics raised was, 'How to persuade my parents to let me go to the party?' Good luck. We will shortly be looing at Climate Change, and that will encompass more of a cross-curricular approach.

Our Year 6G Representative this year is Mrs. Wright. Many thanks for all of her hard work.

Feel free to come and speak to me at any time.

And finally I would just like to say a massive thank you for the all of the gifts and kind words for the birth of my baby daughter, Isla.

Kind regards
Mr. G
