EDDIE IZZARD in Kathmandu
One of the world’s most famous and respected comedians EDDIE IZZARD is to bring his record breaking live comedy to Nepal for the first time.
EDDIE brings FORCE MAJEURE to Kathmandu on 18th February 2017.
He will perform at The British School, Jhamsikhel at 7.30pm.

EDDIE IZZARD has been hailed as one of the foremost Stand-Ups of his generation. Often referred to as The Lost Python (a title bestowed by Monty Python), EDDIE'S early career began in 1983 as a street performer in London's Covent Garden. In 1993 he took to the West End stage with his stand-up debut show, LIVE AT THE AMBASSADORS. Since then there have been a succession of sell-out and critically-acclaimed international tours including DEFINITE ARTICLE, DRESS TO KILL, GLORIOUS and STRIPPED and numerous awards including two Emmy’s. EDDIE regularly performs gigs at Madison Square Garden Arena in New York, making him only the fourth comedian ever to play that venue and in 2011 he became the first ever stand up to perform at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, he has since returned. More recently there have been residencies and tours in Paris, Germany and Spain where EDDIE performs his shows in French, German and Spanish. He has plans to perform in Russian and Arabic.
Whilst initially renowned as a comic, EDDIE is also now equally respected as a film, theatre and TV actor. EDDIE'S stage appearances include Mamet’s THE CRYPTOGRAM and A DAY IN THE DEATH OF JOE EGG in London and on Broadway, which won him several prestigious awards including a Tony Nomination for Best Actor. Film work includes VALKYRIE, alongside Tom Cruise and 'Oceans Twelve' and 'Thirteen’ opposite Brad Pitt and George Clooney. He has appeared as Long John Silver in the TV drama, TREASURE ISLAND and in the US hit drama THE RICHES. Other notable TV drama's include HANNIBAL and LOST CHRISTMAS. EDDIE will be seen on the big screen later this year in the animation feature ROCK DOG. He has currently just finished starring in VICTORIA AND ABDUL the Stephen Frears sequel to MRS BROWN alongside Judi Dench.
FORCE MAJEURE is the most extensive comedy tour ever. It began its mammoth journey around the globe during spring 2013. From Cardiff to Cape Town, Moscow to Montreal, EDDIE will eventually visit over 30 countries throughout Europe, USA, Africa, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal and the Far East.
