Feature Teacher - Mr. Gray
Our next featured teacher is Mr. Gray, he is a primary school teacher in Year 4. He describes himself as being creative, curious and someone who is not afraid to look silly for a good cause! Although he had never visited Nepal, he had heard wonderful, fascinating stories about the country, so when he saw the job advertised and was lucky enough to get the position, he was delighted to get the opportunity to discover the delights of Kathmandu! He feels that Nepal has so much to offer and there are many intriguing elements to it - from the bustling streets of Patan to the hills surrounding the valley. He has really enjoyed running some of the trails around the valley and getting lost in the forests as well! The first thing that comes to his mind when he thinks of school is that it is a diverse, multicultural learning environment in which all the students have a fantastic attitude towards their learning. He loves hearing about all the places these students have been and the stories they tell about their adventures all over the world! When asked to share one reason that he loves teaching at TBS, he says “I love teaching at a school that enjoys trying new and creative approaches within education that centre around the learning and progression of students. I enjoy coming to school and seeing students that are thoughtful, positive and resilient within their learning”.
