Great battle for Senior Boys versus GEMS school
The senior boys' football team played their third game of the 2015 season on Wednesday evening against formidable opponents GEMS. GEMS school is located in Dhapakhel and has 3,500 students. They fielded a strong eleven against TBS and the game started at a fast pace. TBS started with good organization, commitment and maintained possession of the ball as a team. On a small pitch there were many opportunities in attack and TBS opened the scoring through the right foot of Nipun. TBS continued their domination of the first half with some excellent individual performances and an accurate through ball from Sreyams gave Nipun the chance to score his second goal.
TBS commenced the second half with a 2-0 lead but began to lose their shape as GEMS exerted more pressure on the defence. Their long attacking balls eventually broke through and as the dying minutes approached GEMS scored twice to draw level. TBS battled hard but never quite repeated the attacking form of the first half. A good result though! Final score: TBS 2 GEMS School 2.
