TBS Feature Teacher - Mr. Sutton
“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.”
Our second feature teacher is Mr. Ashley Sutton. He is a Year 3 teacher and is energetic, excitable and curious about the world. He first came to Nepal on holiday last year to ride a motorbike from Kathmandu to Muktinath and absolutely fell in love with the country and the people. He loves how spirituality is everywhere and there are so many different cultures in just one country, providing him with so much to learn here. When asked - How did you end up teaching at TBS? - Mr. Sutton said “After my incredible experience travelling in Nepal, I immediately decided that I would very much like to live here, I kept an eye on the TBS website and I was lucky enough to get a job here at TBS!” The first thing that comes to his mind when he thinks of TBS is the rich diversity of cultures and nationalities we have. He feels lucky to have 11 nationalities in his little class alone, and finds it exciting to get to be part of such a multi-cultural community every day! One other thing he loves about teaching here at TBS is his lovely class. He mentions that the children are so nice and supportive of each other and have a fantastic sense of humour, which makes all the difference to his days!
