The second edition of Ellevate began on the 21st of June, where we welcomed 53 students from all across Kathmandu Valley and Pokhara.
The students were randomly assigned into groups where they collaborated to develop a business plan that follows the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout the week, we welcomed a number of industry experts who supported us in keynotes and panel discussions.
The week culminated in our Dragon’s Den. The girls delivered their pitches to the judges in the hope of winning a grand prize of Rs. 80,000.
The winning team, Matri Bhasa, had an incredible business model where they aim to reconnect young Nepalis to their indigenous languages, such as Newari, ensuring that culture and heritage are passed down through generations. Thank you to AlphaBeta, our generous sponsor for this prize.
