Key Stage 2 students learn about Burns Prevention
"Stop, drop, roll, cover and call for help" were the key words the students from Key Stage 2 took away from the Burns Safety Talk on Thursday morning. TBS welcomed the representatives from BVS (Burns Violence Survivors) for a talk about how to stay safe regarding all types of burns. The students heard about scalds, chemical burns and electrical burns. They also had a chance to practice stop, drop, roll, cover and call for help. At the end of the presentation Year 3 and 4 students donated medical supplies for the children in the burns unit at Kanti Children's Hospital. Year 8 DT class were also involved in the donation to the burns victims in the hospital, they presented nature themed cushions that they created in class. Well done to all involved and thank you to Wendy and Laetitia from BVS for a very important and informative presentation.
