Dear students and parents,
You will have already received news of the school’s decision to remain online for the remainder of this academic year (until 2nd July). We are determined to ensure we continue to provide engaging and creative learning experiences for all students so that they can continue to make academic progress. We are also equally concerned about each child’s mental health and wellbeing, due to the effects of being in lockdown and continuing their learning online. Thank you to all parents that completed the survey which has provided us with valuable feedback as we look to refine our online provision and care for your children. We will run wellbeing sessions for parents over the next couple weeks, where wellbeing guidance can be provided, strategies can be shared and a forum can be provided for mutual support. The first one will take place next Wednesday,19th May from 3:30pm – 4:00pm for parents of students in Year 8 and 9. Please use this link. Details of further sessions for parents in other year groups will be shared next week.
Next Thursday and Friday, we have our half term break, where we can all take a break from our screens. It will be a perfect time to read a new book or perhaps, being inspired by the fabulous artwork of our students below, you may (re) discover your creative and artistic skills. Please enjoy this time, whatever you choose to do.
Please stay safe everyone and have a good weekend.
