Last weekend was phenomenal at TBS and the celebration has continued with so many superb achievements by our students that you can read about below! On Saturday, alongside the Community PAWS, art and football events, we also had the real pleasure of welcoming teachers from 28 Community Partner schools to our Annual Community Conference. The theme of this year’s conference was Building Bridges for Social Impact. TBS staff led training workshops on a range of aspects of teaching and learning and our partner schools were able to come together and share ideas on key educational topics. This annual event is a cornerstone of the TBS approach to working in partnership with the wider community and supporting the development of Nepal’s education for all.
Some of our students were fortunate to be inspired this morning by Hari Budha Magar, a truly extraordinary person. Hari made history on May 19, 2023, by becoming the first double above-knee amputee to summit Mount Everest and we were delighted to welcome him to TBS today. Further information about his visit can be found below.
Parents are invited to join our Raku Ceramics Workshop from 9am to 12:30pm on Saturday 14th June. During the workshop, participants will learn how to create a ceramic form using hand building, experience wheel forming and create an original design using Raku glazing techniques. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. A small fee of 1,000 NPRS will be charged to cover materials and participants will be able to collect their finished vases w/c 23rd June 2025. Please contact ISands@tbs.edu.np with any questions you may have and to register your interest. This event is for adults only.

Please be aware that there will be some potential traffic disruption due to the drainage works near previous Summit Hotel hill road. Parents may wish to avoid this route until the works are completed.
Have a lovely weekend,
Caro
