What an amazing week in Primary! We have had winter shows, lots of fun and a visit from the very special man himself.

Earlier in the week, Early Years and KS1 gave an amazing performance of Ralph the Reindeer to the parents and carers. They truly amazed everyone with their outstanding talent- we are so incredibly proud of them!

Following this, on Wednesday evening, our KS2 students made up part of the phenomenal Winter Concert, which was enjoyed by all. Again showcasing the amazing talents we have as part of our school.

And then, even when we thought our week could not get any better… Santa came to see us! Santa spent some time with each of the classes, he even knew all about the Winter Concert, and Ralph the Reindeer.

Along with all of this, the students have also continued with their hard work this week which has been wonderful to see throughout the school.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful winter break and we look forward to seeing you all back ready to learn in January!

It has been another jam packed term at TBS. Students have again shown excellence in the 5Cs.

Students showed great courage on expeditions. They stepped out of their comfort zone in so many ways, they camped, they hiked, they rafted and they showed huge commitment to the community projects that we worked on. I was lucky enough to be on the year 9 expedition and I couldn’t have been more proud to be a part of TBS – the way the students worked on the BioGas Dome was phenominal.

Students and the wider school community have shown huge compassion this term. We have had numerous fundraising events for a range of charities. Ms Bishop shaved her head for Zonta, the prefects ran the quiz and sponge the teacher and of course we have the incredible whole school effort for FoodFest International. Students’ compassion has also been shown in other ways, creating Christmas bags for our partner schools and writing letters to help change lives as part of the Amnesty International Write for Rights event.

The creativity of our students has been on display both in their lessons and events such as day of the dead, the fantastic performance of constellations, the Winter concert and the MUN conferences. They continue to stretch and challenge themselves in all that they do.

Lastly – I am so proud of the sense of community we have here at TBS. Students work together both in their classwork, independent work and after school activities. This was demonstrated in the number of wins we had at FOBISIA and the fantastic way the students played in the NISA league finals. Well done TBS.

Santa not just came to TBS but also made stops at our community partner schools to distribute presents to the children. A huge thank you to the TBS students and parents for the Christmas gift bags, this year we will be handing out 580 of them!
