Dear Parents/Carers, Staff and Students,
This week is a real Community focus and we have been delighted to welcome so many of you onto our campus. On Sunday, we held the Family Picnic in collaboration with our TBS Owls parent association and it really was a superb opportunity for our families to get together. Thank you so much to all the parents and the Owls committee who supported this event.
Today, we have had our Community Eco Fair and what a wonderful afternoon it has been. Our students did a fabulous job of raising awareness of environmental issues as they explained their learning at their different stalls. There were also some beautiful crafts, food and homemade items for sale, so I am sure that our parents went away with plenty of new acquisitions. One of the highlights was certainly the country dancing which was enjoyed by children and parents alike!
Tomorrow is the TBS annual Community Conference. This means that schools that we work with will be coming to TBS to participate in training sessions and professional conversations to support school children all over Kathmandu and beyond. This is always a very special event for us and I am extremely proud of the TBS staff that give up so much of their weekend to work with our Community Partners in this way. It is an excellent example of the dedication of our staff to ensuring excellent outcomes for young people.
Once more, we are collecting an inordinate amount of lost property. I encourage all parents and children to come and check the lost property displays and claim any items that belong to you.
Have a lovely weekend,
Caro Drumm
Principal
