In this exit point, the children took on the role of teachers, guiding their parents through a showcase of how communication devices have evolved over time. The children demonstrated the different methods of communication, highlighting the changes from traditional tools like letters and telegraphs to modern technologies such as texting and phone calls. They also explored alternative forms of communication such as Makaton and communicating through emotions. This hands-on experience allowed the children to showcase their learning about past and present communication tools, while also teaching their parents about the impact of these innovations on how we connect with each other today.

Year 3 & 4 Dress Rehearsal
Inviting Mary Ward, our Year 3 and 4 community partner school, to their PAWs production on Wednesday afternoon was fantastic. The performance created a memorable experience for everyone, and it was meaningful for our young performers to have the support of their friends from Mary Ward. It was wonderful to see Mary Ward students enjoying the show, swaying side to side along with the songs.
Community Club
It was also wonderful to see TBS and Mary Ward students collaborating again in the Community Club. TBS students created board games for Mary Ward students, communicating diligently in English and Nepali. The TBS students took the lead in explaining the rules of their games, their enthusiasm was amazing as they encouraged their Mary Ward peers to join in. The collaboration was not just about the games; it was a rich exchange of ideas and cultures, fostering friendships that transcended language barriers. They highlighted the power of teamwork and creativity, with both TBS and Mary Ward students showcasing their talents in game design and strategy. In moments of challenge, they supported one another, translating words and gestures ensuring everyone felt included and valued.

We then had a visit from our community partners on Wednesday for the dress rehearsal of our Year 3 & 4 production.
Year 3 & 4 Production – The Sky Rockets
Then on Thursday was the big day…
We’re off to the Moon! What an incredible adventure, following a half term IPC unit on all things performance (and space!) related, the Year 3 and 4 students put on a truly out of this world performance of The Sky Rockets.
Not only did they showcase their exceptional acting and singing on the day, but all of their hard work in all other areas of the unit were evident, through their fantastic stage setting, props, costumes which meant that they could produce such a wonderful performance. From the wonderful props (we really thought we had a rocket in the hall!), their show stopping dance moves, to the beautiful protective eye wear that they produced to go home.
A huge congratulations to all of the Year 3 and 4 students who should be incredibly proud of every part of what was showcased to our audience, and also an equally huge thank you to our audience who helped us show our learners the value of their hard work.
We would also like to thank our Year 3 & 4 families for your generous donations, helping The Year 3 & 4 team to raise a tremendous 13,815 rupees for their community partner school, Mary Ward.
Well done Year 3 and 4, thank you for helping us lift off on an incredible adventure, and reminding us to ‘dream big’ and challenge ourselves!
However, the excitement did not stop there!

We are looking forward to sharing more photos with you on our return from half term
Year 5 Exit Point
On Friday morning, Year 5 parents joined us for an engaging and interactive exit point event. Students showcased their learning about the ancient Greeks and Romans through a variety of presentations, including research-based slide shows, hands-on demonstrations of simple machines such as catapults, drawbridges, and Archimedes’ screws, and also an exhibition of the beautifully crafted Roman vases that they created in collaboration with the art department this half term. They also demonstrated some impressive shield formations using the incredible shields they had made at home as part of their home learning. It was a pleasure to welcome so many parents to celebrate the students’ achievements and witness their hard work firsthand.

The Year 5 students completed the home learning activity to create shields and participated in the formations.
Year 6 family assembly
In today’s Year 6 Family Assembly, the students proudly shared the geography skills they’ve developed during their IPC Earth as an Island topic. Taking on roles as scientists, cartographers, IT specialists, and environmentalists, they demonstrated their knowledge in creating and reading maps, collecting data on sustainable practices at home, and analyzing this information to draw meaningful conclusions. This assembly reminds us of the importance of our responsibility as global citizens, inspiring us to take action for a more sustainable future.
