Thank you to the parents who have already informed us that your child/children will be leaving TBS at the end of the term on Friday, 26th June 2026. We would like to stress that providing adequate and timely notice is essential. Formal notice is a mandatory requirement, helps parents avoid potential financial penalties, enables the timely refund of security deposits, and allows the school to plan effectively for the upcoming term.

Please be reminded that the final deadline for submitting a formal notice of withdrawal is Sunday, 31st May 2026. Notice must be provided either by email or by a written letter addressed to Ms Manisha Bajracharya, Admissions Office.

Upon receipt of the withdrawal notice, parents will be issued a clearance form, which must be completed closer to the end of the term to finalise the withdrawal process. Parents who require school documents or references for the new school should inform Ms Manisha Bajracharya in the Admissions Office as early as possible.

Kindly note that late submission or failure to provide notice, as well as not completing the clearance process or returning school resources, may result in partial or full forfeiture of the security deposit. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering strictly to these requirements.

Our Lost & Found collection is currently overflowing with unnamed jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, shoes, PE kits, and other belongings. We kindly encourage parents and students to check the collection area for any missing items as soon as possible. Please also remember to clearly label all student belongings to help us return lost items quickly and efficiently.

Little Yetis

This week at Little Yetis, our Transport and Journeys theme was linked to United Nations SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. The children have loved exploring different types of vehicles and learning about how people travel by road, rail, air and water, through a variety of hands-on activities and sensory experiences.

The children enjoyed experimenting with ramps and vehicles, watching how cars rolled at different speeds and exploring concepts such as fast, slow, high and low. Our sensory trays were especially popular, with diggers and construction vehicles used alongside ground coffee and sand for scooping, digging and imaginative play. The children also explored transport-themed playdough activities and created colourful tyre track paintings using toy vehicles.

During group time, we shared the story The Train Ride, which encouraged conversations about journeys and the different things we might see while travelling. We also had lots of fun singing familiar transport songs, including Row Row Row Your Boat, Down by the Station and The Wheels on the Bus.   

Year 1 and 2 Summer Spectacular

Summer arrived early in TBS Early Years and KS1 as children, families, and staff came together for our joyful Summer Spectacular Fundraising Event in support of our community partner school, Shree Tika School. The school grounds were filled with happy faces, laughter, and excitement as children enthusiastically took part in a wide range of fun activities. From Hook-a-Duck, face painting, and beautiful Mehndi designs to creative rock painting and messy mud painting, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 

The sack race brought lots of laughter as adults and teachers joined in, with some children and parents even challenging the teachers! 

Together, we managed to raise over NRs 20,000 for our community partner school, Shree Tika School. We would like to thank all the families, staff and children for their generosity, enthusiasm and support in making the event such a great success.

Year 6 Extravaganza

In the afternoon, the Year 6 Extravaganza was a tremendous success. The students took full ownership of the event, preparing and leading all activities themselves with enthusiasm and confidence. The showcase featured a lively mix of music, dance, drama, and artistic performances, alongside a wide range of engaging activities including art stations, a photo booth, robotics, and face painting. Families and friends thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and the creativity on display. Together, the students raised over 40,000 Nrs for the Community Partners Fund, making the event both meaningful and memorable. 

Forest School-EYFS and Year 1

On Wednesday, the EYFS and Year 1 children enjoyed another exciting visit to Chobar as part of their regular Forest School sessions. This week they focused on developing their early map skills. Using simple maps of the site, the children worked together to follow clues and search for hidden words placed around the environment. They showed great enthusiasm and teamwork as they explored the different areas of the site. The children also enjoyed using bug identification charts to spot and identify a variety of minibeasts found in the natural environment.

Year 3 and 4 Swimming

We are delighted to share that our Primary swimming programme is now underway, with our Year 3 and Year 4 students taking to the water this week in what has been a fantastic start to the programme. It has been wonderful to see the children undertaking this challenge as risk taking rhinos and developing their confidence, skills and enjoyment in the water, and the enthusiasm they have shown has been tremendous. Other year groups will be participating in the coming blocks, and we very much look forward to seeing all of our Primary children benefit from this exciting and important programme as the term progresses.

Primary Community Concert

The Primary Community Concert was a joyful celebration of collaboration, creativity, and community spirit. Over the past few weeks, students from our three Community Partner Schools joined students at TBS for rehearsals, building friendships and confidence through music and dance. Their hard work and enthusiasm culminated in a spectacular extravaganza performance during the concert, delighting the audience with their energy and talent.

The concert was not only an opportunity to showcase the students’ incredible talents, but also a meaningful fundraising event to support our Community Partner Schools. Families, staff, and the wider school community came together to celebrate inclusivity, teamwork, and the power of education and the arts in bringing people together. The afternoon was filled with excitement, pride, and unforgettable memories for everyone involved. 

This week in secondary has had an academic focus with end of year assessments for Years 7 -10 and more IGCSE and A level exams for Years 11 -13.

Foundation Students

On Monday we welcomed a number of students who will be joining the TBS Graduate class of 2028 for their A level study. The Foundations course gives them a chance to adjust to the routines at TBS, make informed A final A level choices and make friends in their class before the whole class of 2028 start their A level studies in August. Following a bespoke TBS designed course for the first few weeks they will merge with their year group once IGCSE exams are completed and also join in with Academic Enrichment Week

Sports Assembly

On Friday the PE faculty put on their sports review assembly for KS3 students. Year 6 students were also invited since the sports review included both the FOBISIA U13 and U11 games.

TBS World Scholar’s Cup

Also at today’s assembly, newly appointed Curriculum Prefect Mateo introduced the first major student-led project by the incoming secondary prefect team. The third annual TBS World Scholar’s Cup for Years 6-8, which will form the grand finale to our Year 6 transition week. Following the popular international WSC format students will be in mixed teams of 3 (one Year 6, one Year 7 and one Year 8) competing in creative writing, academic challenge, scholar’s bowl and debating. The day will also include a scholar’s cultural fair, the traditional adoption of your alpaca (maybe rhino!) and certificates, medals and trophies in abundance at the end of day results and presentations assembly in the hall. Parents of children in Year 6 -8 are warmly invited to attend the presentation assembly.

University Preparation Session at Alfa Beta

Sunday 24th May – 10am-6pm (drop in)

Alfa Beta Kumaripati Center – Avenue 88 Mall – Level 4

TBS parents and students are invited to a specialist session with TBS parent owned agent Alfa Beta to support preparations for university applications. The event will feature expert global desks with lead counsellors for university applications to different regions of the world and financial readiness information with senior banking officials. If you would like to attend, please register here.

While many university applications do not require the use of an agent, and are supported directly at TBS, for certain countries, universities, and visa applications (particularly for Australia and New Zealand), an agent is needed or recommended. Alfa Beta will be hosting further events in June and July.

Please note that TBS does not endorse or recommend any one university agent but, largely through the parental connection, Alpha Beta is one of the agents we have close links with and the secondary team are confident to promote this event to interested parents and students.
