Dear Parents/Carers, Staff and Students,
Next week, many of our community will be celebrating Tihar, one of Nepal’s most cherished festivals. It is a meaningful time for families and communities to come together. The exchange of blessings, gifts and the tika ceremony during Bhai Tika, not only strengthen bonds but also nurture love and appreciation among family and friends. This shared celebration as a festival of light, enhances social ties and fosters a sense of belonging within the community. In many cultures, light represents goodness and the banishment of darkness and ignorance, welcoming positive energy and knowledge. This is why Tihar is also a time that makes me thankful for the role that TBS has in the lives of our community. School will therefore be closed next week on Thursday and Friday to allow families to celebrate together.
I look forward to seeing parents on November 11th at our Annual General Meeting. A letter will be sent next week with further details.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend,
Caro
