Our final week of the academic year has been a wonderful way to finish with enrichment week.
We started with a celebration of all our students’ achievements over the year during our Year 1 – 5 celebration assembly. It was wonderful to see so many of our TBS families joining us to share in their children’s educational journey, it has such a positive impact for our young learners to share their experiences with their parents and carers.

We then commenced enrichment week. All our students have engaged tremendously well in the activities their group leaders have planned for them and it has been great to see them working with children from other year groups, supporting each other and developing new friendships.
A selection of our Year 3 – Year 5 students packed their bags for an amazing trip around the world! They made and tasted yummy foods, created brilliant artworks, sang songs, danced to new music, and explored exciting cultures. Through fun games and activities, they learned about the wonderful places and people that make their world so special!

In the flower art and botany group, some of the Year 2, 3 & 4 students went on a fun adventure where science and creativity came together! Botany was all about studying plants and learning how flowers grew, what made them special, and why they were so important for nature. Flower art let them use their imagination to draw, paint, and create beautiful pictures of flowers. When they connected art and botany, they learned about how flowers grow & thrive while having fun making their own colourful flower masterpieces! It was an exciting way to explore the magic of nature and let their creativity bloom.

Some of our Year 3, 4 & 5 students became scientists during Enrichment Week! They joined Adventures in Science, where they explored the wonders of the world through fun and exciting experiments. They made magical colour potions in Colourful Chemistry, raced objects and tested gravity in Forces and Motion, investigated melting and freezing in States of Matter, and discovered how they saw and heard in Light and Sound. They arrived curious and—they left amazed!

The Year 4 & 5 students who were in the outdoor learning group had a week full of fun, adventure and getting muddy! During Enrichment Week, they headed outside to explore and enjoy nature. They got to make their own nature art, built awesome dens, raced through obstacle courses, splashed around in water games, and discovered interesting plants and animals. There were so many exciting activities to try with their friends – it was all about having fun, working together and enjoying the outdoors. So they grabbed their wellies and jumped into an action-packed week!

Some of the Year 2 & 3 students embarked on an exciting journey through history with the “Olympics Through the Times” theme! Each day, they explored a different era of the Olympic Games — from the ancient competitions of Greece to the modern-day international celebration of sport and unity. They dived into history through storytelling and also created themed crafts, and took part in fun physical challenges inspired by real Olympic events.

Some of the Year 1 & 2 students joined the Glorious Gardeners! They cultivated their passion for nature! They were ready to dig in, get their hands dirty, and watch something beautiful grow. The Glorious Gardener students were eager to explore the wonders of nature, develop new skills, and make lasting memories.

Some of the Early Years and Year 1 students got ready for an exciting Pirate Enrichment Week. So they grabbed their eye patches and joined as they set sail on this unforgettable journey where the young learners embarked on a week full of adventure, creativity, and learning! Throughout the week, students engaged in pirate-themed activities such as treasure hunts, map-making, storytelling, and hands-on crafts. It was a fantastic way to inspire imagination, build teamwork, and bring learning to life in a fun and engaging way.

Lights, camera… creativity! Some of our Year 4 & 5 students became Marvellous Movie Makers – they loved telling stories, acting, making props and costumes and working with their friends. They joined the group for a fun-filled week where they worked in a team to create their very own short film using just an iPad camera and their imagination. They could be the director, actor, scriptwriter, prop designer — or even all of the above! Whether they wanted to star in front of the camera, bring puppets to life, or build exciting sets and props, there was something for everyone. They learned how to plan and film their scenes, used different camera angles, and told amazing stories — all without using editing apps.

Ever wondered what you can create with just a sock and some imagination? In this playful, hands-on activity, some of the Year 3, 4 & 5 students transformed an ordinary sock into an adorable, one-of-a-kind plushie! With soft stuffing, colorful decorations, and fun design options, they brought their own cuddly creature to life! Their new snuggly friend was unique and made entirely independently by them!

Some of the Early Years, Year 1 & Year 2 children ventured ‘Into The Forest’ for an exciting week of activities based on the book by Anthony Browne. They participated in a nature scavenger hunt, searching for leaves, stones, and other natural treasures while developing observation skills and learning about plants and wildlife. During nature arts and crafts sessions, they collected materials to create unique artwork, making leaf rubbings, building sculptures with twigs, and creating natural collages that taught them about textures and patterns found in nature. The children developed creativity, fine motor skills, and environmental awareness while building confidence in outdoor exploration within a safe setting that encouraged curiosity about the natural world.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our TBS families for another fantastic year and wish you all a wonderful restful holiday.
