Dear students and parents,
Thank you to the parents of Year 8 and 9 children who attended the wellbeing session last Wednesday. There will be a further session for Year 7 parents on Thursday 3rd June from 3.30pm-4pm. During this session you will get an opportunity to share with each other some of the strategies that have been effective in working with your children. Please find the Zoom link here.
We will be having a general Parents Session on Tuesday 1st June (Zoom link here) where we will provide an update on our Online Learning Provision and answer any questions with regard to this and any other issues.
I will be writing to all parents on Monday prior to the parent meeting with details on tuition fees, the implementation of a prevailing exchange rate for payment of fees and the final stage of our ‘Bring your own Device’ (BYOD) programme. I can confirm at this stage that tuition fees will remain frozen for the first two terms of the 2021-22 academic year. The final date for notice of withdrawal is on Wednesday 2nd June.
As you will know, the mandatory prohibitory order has been extended with further restrictions and special flights are being organised to aid the departure of those that need to leave Nepal. We will have some staff leaving on these flights over the forthcoming weeks and like beforehand, arrangements will be made to ensure your children’s learning will not be disrupted when in transit. Can I once again request parents to inform us if you are leaving Nepal so that we can continue to support your child’s learning.
As we approach the final five weeks of the term, we continue to be concurrently focused on providing the very best provision until the 2nd July but also planning for the new academic year. We have been able to recruit excellent teachers who are excited about the prospect of joining our community for the 2021-22 academic year (more details next week). We will also be saying goodbye to the following members of staff on July 2nd. We thank each and every one of them for their significant contributions to our community and I am sure you will join me in wishing them the very best in their future endeavours.
