Hello everyone,
We’d like to start off by saying a huge well-done to all the KS5 students for getting through exam week last week. It was impressive to see how well everyone handled each exam and how good everyone was at following rules and procedures inside the exam hall. We urge you to rest, re-charge and spend time with your loved ones over our Tihar break. Once again, well-done!
This week:
Over the past week, there have been discussions between members of staff, students, and parents about the school dress code and PE uniforms/ TBS shirts.
Of course we cannot forget the Halloween dress up day we had on Monday! It was absolutely lovely to see all the spooky, creative costumes around the campus. We also had students and staff come in pink items today in solidarity for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. A massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to the donations – they will be 100% directed to breast cancer organisations and research after the Tihar break.
The Prefect Team has also been hard at work on planning our personal projects and starting to put plans into action. We’ve got several exciting things in store for everyone over the next few terms!
Movember:
Some of our staff and KS5 students will be taking part in an important cause this month – ‘Movember’. Movember (or No Shave November) is a concept that entails men and boys refraining from shaving their facial hair over the month of November. Then, the money that has been saved from not buying shaving products is donated to prostate cancer research centres. We’re looking to donate to local cancer research centres with the money that is raised this year. It is really lovely to see people participating!
We hope that you all have had a wonderful few days, and we look forward to seeing you back at school next week. Happy Tihar!
