Secondary Spring CPA Showcase

An evening of dance, drama and music

TBS once again brings enthusiasm and glee into a production!

“ The show was a great opportunity for students to express themselves through music and have fun!”- Ms Freeman

As the title suggests, on the evening of Thursday 2nd April the annual Spring Concert occurred, to end the term with delight and joy.

The concert ranged from students from Year 7 to 12 with some upper primary too and consisted of beautiful solos, duets and rock bands. Alongside this there were brilliant performances from the KS3 dance club, Year 7 and 8 choir and drama club who acted 2 pieces from the play Arabian nights, which they all worked extremely hard for – The Little beggar and Ali-Baba. Sanghamitta from year 7, a performer and singer reported that “ I enjoyed acting the most!” In company with the drama show the concert followed the theme Arabian Nights and most performances were closely linked with it. “ All the songs were so good!” quoted by Vedanshee in Year 8, a singer and soloist. The show was hosted by one of our creative and performing arts prefects Aditi in Year 13  and by Mateo at the end to invite in some comedy and finish the production with laughter.

However, the show could not be possible without the music teachers’ help. They assisted almost every song and the technician crew who managed the equipment and lights. Thank you to all who participated and engaged in the show. You all put so much time and effort and all were fantastic. Overall the night ended in great success and rejoice and we hope to achieve the same if not better results next year. As Nikhil from Year 11 (guitarist from a band performance) said, “The evening was amazing.”
