The Year 7’s and Year 8’s had a yet another fantastic FOBISIA trip over the weekend. As every year, our school has a try out, selection, and practice throughout the term. We saw fantastic progress in our community, compassion and teamwork!
In addition to our school, there were 7 other schools participating from China, Malaysia and Thailand. In athletics we saw marvelous speed and agility, therefore managed to win 15 medals in total, 2 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze. In swimming we had 8 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze, which totals another 15 medals.
Overall our boys team were Football Champions and came 4th in Basketball.
Our girls team were 5th in Basketball and 7th in Football
“We had a great season, over the past years I’ve been on FOBISIA, I haven’t seen as much teamwork and co-ordination among players and coaches”
Joshua, FOBISIA Athlete
“The Team did excellently in football, and we did well on all other sports, I personally took home three gold and two bronze”
Mayukh, FOBISIA Football Captain, & Athlete
“I had a great time in relay, and I medalled in all my events, I also liked to say we did great placing first in football and Mayukh was unstoppable in our matches. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved”
Daniel, FOBISIA Athlete
“On behalf of the coaching staff, we could not be more impressed with the students’ conduct, character and competitive spirit over the course of the trip. The students carried out TBS’s excellent reputation at FOBISIA and certainly made the most of the experience – developing not only as athletes but as young independent individuals and carrying away memories and friendships that they will look back on for many years to come with fondness.” – Ms. Watt
This FOBISIA season was phenomenal, and our athletes did exceptionally well individually and as a team. Great job well done to every one of our students and a big thank you to all the teachers who helped make this possible.
