Dear Students, Parents and Carers,
It has been another excellent week, with our family assembly, guest speaker and continuing external exams. It has been wonderful to see all our students enthusiastically engaged with their learning and the resilience of our examination cohorts, who have been approaching their exams with a positive outlook.
Our Coronation celebration for King Charles III last Saturday, co hosted by the British Embassy was a huge success and it was wonderful to see our TBS families gathering together with the wider community for the garden party style fete. Our Primary student leaders, with our Year 5 students, Scout Group and some of our Year 7, 9 and 11 students ran stalls selling jewellery, decorating crown shaped cookies, selling homemade soap, face painting and arts, crafts & sports activities, where they raised over 25,000 nprs for our community partners and their designated charities.
The performance by the Primary choir was uplifting and rounded the first part of the day off perfectly, before the televised coronation procession began. The hall was full to bursting with spectators eagerly awaiting the crowning of the King. The evening celebrations continued with a band and traditional British food, such as fish & chips and quiche.
We hope all of you who joined us had a lovely day and we are looking forward to seeing you again at a range of other events before the end of the academic year.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
