Dear Students, Parents and Carers,
This week at TBS has been one of reflection. On Thursday, we commemorated Remembrance Day and spent some time reflecting on the meaning of personal commitment for the betterment of others, not just in the moment, but with consideration for the future. Students contemplated how individuals put themselves in challenging situations in the belief that doing so, they can contribute to a better society. On Friday, we also reflected on Mental Health and Well-being. Staff and students considered how to support themselves and others through emotional literacy and positive action. At TBS we understand that the support of others is vital during difficult times and the commitment to both personal and community wellbeing gives us the compass point that we all need at times.
Our TBS parents group, OWLS, is looking at how to become more active now that many restrictions have been lifted. We are inviting parents to come to school on Wednesday November 24th at 3:30pm so that we can look at ways to increase the membership and engagement to serve the community. We encourage parents and carers to attend and support our OWLS, a great community asset. So that we can ensure we have a suitable socially distanced space for the numbers, please could you add your name here before 9am on 22/11/21 to let us know you will be attending.
As the weather is a little colder now, many more students are ordering hot lunches from the school catering providers. For those bringing pre-prepared lunches with them in the morning who would like them warm, you can either pack them in a thermos container or bring a microwavable container and reheat them in the school microwaves. These are located in both the Primary and Secondary lunch areas.
Best wishes
