Dear students and parents,
It has been wonderful seeing more students on campus during the past week as we use these transition days to ensure all safety protocols are understood and adhered to. It has also allowed students to reconnect (and connect for our new students) with others and their teachers, providing opportunities for lots of questions and the sharing of experiences and strategies to ensure we ‘hit the ground running’ when we return to phase 3 after the half term break. Our remaining teachers abroad (as well as many families) are making their way back to Nepal and are eager to get back onto campus and meet their colleagues and students.
As we approach the forthcoming elections, there will, no doubt, be further demonstrations planned (as occurred yesterday) which may cause disruption; we will ensure we take all security advice to make informed decisions that always put the safety of our community first and we will communicate these with you as quickly and clearly as possible.
We will be saying goodbye to two of our parent governors, Michael Shaver and Sarbinda KC as they and their families are moving abroad. I would like to thank them both for their considerable support and contribution to the school and wish their families all of the very best on their new adventures. This means that we have two parent governor positions on the Board available. The school continues to develop and is entering a new and exciting phase in many areas so this would be a great opportunity for those parents that wish to be part of our Board to register their interest in doing so. Prechhya Mathema, our Secretary, will be sending out further information via email and these details can also be found here. If you would like to speak to me or a member of our Board to find out more about this role, please do reach out.
Have a lovely weekend, please stay safe and I look forward to seeing more students on campus next week.
