What an excellent start to the year we have had in Primary and Early Years; it has been wonderful to start our year learning in school and the teachers have very much enjoyed meeting and getting to know their classes this week.

The children have been enthusiastically engaging with all their lessons and have put 100% effort into every area of school life. They have set the tone well for a fantastic learning journey this year and we are looking forward to the year ahead with them.

We have been delighted to see their attentive approach to learning and their learning behaviours have mirrored those of our learning animals well.

It has been such a pleasure popping into all the Primary and Early Years classrooms to meet the children and share in their experiences; they have been looking at how they learn and the environment they wish to create to support their learning through our Brainwaves IPC topic. Their understanding of their own learning needs has been exceptional. This is a good platform for them to start from as they prepare to be reflective learners, setting them in good stead for the rest of the year and beyond as they will be able to articulate their understanding of key concepts and seek the support they need to make excellent progress.

Well done to all our young learners for a fantastic start!

Our secondary students have had a fantastic start to the year. There is a lovely buzz of energy in the secondary classrooms and students are making new friends and settling in well. They are already working hard and enjoying their lessons. Lots of house points have already been given out and we look forward to announcing our early leaders. 

As well as the achievements of the year 12 and 13 we mentioned above, last year’s year 11 also did fantastically well. We have had results from the CAIE IGCSE qualifications and are delighted to announce that 48% of grades we have received so far are at an A or A*! This is an incredible achievement. In mathematics almost 60% of grades were an A or A* and in English literature over 55% were an A or A*. Huge congratulations to all our students on these phenomenal results. 

Thank you to those parents who have timely confirmed that your child/children will be leaving this term. On-time notice is a compulsory requirement as per the school’s policy and avoids future consequences.  It also allows us to refund your security deposits on time, and helps us to plan ahead for the new term.

The last day of providing the formal notice of withdrawal of your child/children from the school at the end of this term is Tuesday, 23rd August 2022, 4 weeks before the last teaching day of the term as published in our school calendar. The notice of withdrawal can be provided either by email or written letter to Ms. Manisha Bajracharya at the admission office.

Parents shall receive a clearance form to complete the withdrawal procedure nearer the end of Term 1. Please let Ms. Manisha Bajracharya in the admissions office know should you require any school documents/references to provide in the new school.

Late or no notice of withdrawal and failure to submit the form or return the school’s resources may fully or partially affect refunding the security deposit.
