What an exciting return to school for all of primary, with both returns to forest school this week and some wonderful costumes on Tuesday!

All of our Year 1 and 2 students made the most of the improved weather with a return to our Chobar Forest School site. They were able to enjoy the open space and develop a number of skills. Tree climbing was particularly popular!

Well done to everyone for their creative costumes on Tuesday, the House Captains had to make some tough decisions about who was best dressed in each class. They were looking for the most creative and original costumes.

It was also an exciting return from the break for the secondary team as we celebrated the achievements of our 2023 GCSE and A level cohorts with awards ceremonies on Monday and Tuesday. We were joined by the British Ambassador, HE Rob Fenn, who was especially impressed by the fantastic results achieved by TBS students and by the talents of the KS4 music and drama performers. This week has also seen a whole secondary student-led anti-bullying assembly, which really demonstrated the core values of our community and impressed teachers. Next week our prefects will again lead the assemblies, focusing on men’s health and launching the Movember campaign which some of our staff will again participate in. We are especially proud of the ways in which this year’s cohort of student leaders are stepping up as role models to younger students and driving discussion around important issues. We know that you will see more from them as the year progresses.

Next week, we will also be welcoming parents into school on Tuesday morning for our World Languages parent information session and for the year 10 parent teacher conferences. We look forward to seeing many of you at these events.

On the 14/10/2023  7th Lincoln Swimming Championship, Boys 10 & under 50 SC Meter Freestyle Aryan Shrestha secured 3rd position with timing of 35.81sec. 15 TBS swimmers participated individually and performed very well.

Thank you to those parents who have confirmed that their child/children will be leaving TBS at the end of the term, i.e.Friday 15th December 2023.. Adequate notice is a requirement and avoids financial penalties for parents.  It also allows us to refund your security deposits on time and helps us to plan ahead for the new term.

The deadline for providing the formal notice of the withdrawal of your child/children is Wednesday 15th November 2023. The notice of withdrawal can be provided either by email or written letter to Ms. Manisha Bajracharya at the admission office.

After submitting the notice of withdrawal, parents will receive a clearance form to complete the withdrawal procedure nearer the end of Term 2. Please let Ms. Bajracharya in the admissions office know should you require any school documents/references to provide to the new school.

Late notice of withdrawal (or providing no notice) and failure to submit the form or return the school’s resources may fully or partially affect refunding the security deposit.
